A and A chose a winter civil ceremony, just the two of them and a handful of the people they love, inside a historic palace in the heart of Cluj. She wore an impeccable white suit and a small bouquet of white flowers. He wore a leather jacket over a white shirt: exactly the kind of quiet rule-breaking I love to see make it into the pictures.

We began on the monumental wooden staircase, where the light drops from above as in a Flemish painting, moved up into the white halls with their tall windows, and finished outside on the stone terrace in the cold January air. Three completely different settings, one story: two people who could not stop laughing.
